Solar Optimum is making May a month to remember. The solar panel company is offering a ‘no payment until 2021’-deal to everyone buying solar panels during this month. They also throw in a free $1,000 combiner box and 5-year internet data plan as the icing on your ‘solar panel investment-cake’.
But it doesn’t stop there. For every time someone purchases solar panels for homes – with or without home battery storage – Solar Optimum will donate part of the proceeds to California United Ways’ new statewide COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Helping California’s Most Vulnerable
Families and individuals across the state are experiencing financial hardship due to the mandatory stay-at-home order, which has caused nearly 4 million Californians to lose their job. In an attempt to support those who have been hit the hardest, United Ways of California has created a state-wide COVID-19 Relief Fund – an initiative Solar Optimum is actively supporting by donating proceeds of their May residential sales.
“This crisis is affecting everyone, and as a socially responsible company, we want to get involved in helping those who suffer the most in our community. We all need to do our part to help our neighbors get through these trying times,” said Rainier de Ocampo, Vice President of Marketing at Solar Optimum. The best way to do so is to support and donate to a recognized organization like United Ways.”
Taking the Pressure Off
The state of California has put a list of proactive initiatives in place that have helped flatten the curve, including mandated face coverings and access to testing. Solar Optimum is taking the progress a step further by supporting their fellow Californians with financial aid and taking the pressure off potential customers’ personal finances by delaying payments to 2021 for those who take the step towards turning their houses into solar homes in the month of May.
“Solar panel companies are considered essential businesses because we provide power to homes and businesses. Therefore, we have been able to continue working during this crisis. But we know that many others have not been as fortunate – and we want to make sure we help them when we can,” Rainier de Ocampo.
He continues:
“In addition to donating money, we want to help those who want to go solar by postponing their payments until next year when hopefully things are a bit more stable.”
Go Solar Now – Pay Next Year
For most people, the question “are solar panels worth it?” is irrelevant. The value of solar power has been proven over and over again – and especially during financial hardship, having a solar system can be a valuable resource to help save money on utility bills. But due to the uncertainty of the current crisis, paying for a solar system today can seem like a scary step.
Therefore, if you are considering purchasing a solar system for your home, you can delay payment until 2021 if you buy it from Solar Optimum during the month of May. As a bonus, you will be supporting California United Ways COVID-19 Relief Fund.
