As VP of Finance at Solar Optimum, Robert Chen is responsible for the company’s fiscal management, financial planning, and analysis.
Chen has spent more than 37 years successfully leading the financial and operational performance of domestic and international corporations such as Superior Communications and Ingram Micro.

He has vast experience in project-based industries such as Aerospace and Environmental Industrial Products (Wheelabrator Clean Air/Water systems), making him a valuable asset to the Solar Optimum team. His expertise lies in strategic & tactical planning, budgeting & forecasting, and risk management as well as developing business intelligence tools and information systems.

Chen earned his MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Southern California, and he has certifications in both finance/accounting as well as operations and systems.
