At Solar Optimum, we work hard to make the installation process as simple and convenient for you as possible. Here is what you can expect from first contact all the way to flipping the ON switch.
Step 1: Submit Your Quote Request
After you submit your quote request, one of our Energy Coordinators will attempt to contact you via a phone call to confirm all the information is correct and collect some additional details. Once we verify all the information is correct, we’ll send you a link where you can select a date and time to schedule a 15-minute consultation with one of our Energy Consultants.
*** We will need a copy of your most current utility bill (12 month’s past usage) so we can create the most accurate design and proposal for your home. Please have this information handy.
Step 2: 15-Minute Consultation with Energy Consultant
Your 15-minute consultation will take place via phone call or virtual call. For health and safety reasons, we do not offer in-home appointments. One of our Energy Consultants will review your proposal with you by phone or video and discuss your custom-designed solar system. We will also review financing options, discuss roofing and/or battery needs, and discuss your projected payback period.
After the consultation we will email you the proposal and your Energy Coordinator will follow up with you to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Step 3: Site Assessment
Solar Optimum will send one of our licensed inspectors to your home for a site visit only to collect the required information for our engineering team to make the layout and there is no final update or decision on your plan by our surveyor. This includes inspecting your roof’s condition, determining the exact angle and location for your solar panels, checking for obstructions or safety hazards, and analyzing your home’s electrical system.
Step 4: Installation
After receiving approval, our team will begin the installation. This includes wiring, mounting, and connecting the solar panels to your home’s electrical system. This process can often be finished in a single day but may take longer depending on the size of the system.
Final Step: Approval and Permission to Operate
Once your system has been officially approved to operate, you will receive an email with instructions on how to turn on your system and activate monitoring. You can immediately flip the switch and begin harvesting solar energy for your home! CONGRATULATIONS on taking a huge step toward energy independence!
